Vanden Plas contributes a song for the Number one chart Album from Saltatio Mortis. They guys have produced an english version of the SaMo classic “Krieg kennt keine Sieger”. Together with Genre magnitutes like der Graf, Doro, Subway to Sally you can find this version on the new album “Zirkus Zeitgeist” which dropped in the official media control charts from 0 to 1 a few weeks ago.

Der reiche Jedermann ( Randy Diamond ) lebt ohne jedes Maß, er kennt keine moralischen Schranken und nimmt keinerlei Anteil an den Nöten seiner Mitmenschen. Als Gott ihm den Tod ( Andy Kuntz ) schickt, um ihn zur Rechenschaft zu ziehen, setzt bei Jedermann eine Besinnung über sein Leben ein …
Die Figur des „Jedermann“ ist uns heute vor allem durch das gleichnamige Schauspiel Hugo von Hofmannsthals bekannt, der hierfür vor allem das Moralitätenspiel „Everyman“ eines anonymen englischen Autors aus dem Jahr 1490 aufgriff. Dieser englischsprachige Text bildet die Grundlage für das neue Rockspektakel, eine durchkomponierte Oper Von und mit der Progressive Metal-Band „Vanden Plas“ – nach den Erfolgen von „Abydos“, „Ludus Danielis“, „Christ0“ und „Die Chronik der Unsterblichen – Blutnacht“ von den Fans heiß erwartet.

Unfortunately “Drivers Inc” Drummer Günth broke his ankle and can’t play the show on saturday January 17th at the Irish House in Kaiserslautern. But: The release party of their new CD can take place. The band asked Andreas Lill if he could do this job. The show is about to take place. Get well, Günth – and we’ll meet at the Irish House!

Vanden Plas playing Welttheater! Vanden Plas perform at the annual open-air theater in Amberg – during the great celebration of 980 years – infront of the great scenery of the franciscan monastery on “Maria Hilf”-Hill. The band is performing in a special orchestra pit: an altar. Andy is in the role of the winter king again.
