Hello dear friends, hello dear fans! Unfortunately, we have to announce that we have to cancel our show at the Art Rock Festival next Saturday in Reichenbach! After consulting with the promoter Uwe Treitinger, here is our official statement!
If you want to have a fantastic and therefore very busy musician like Alessandro Del Vecchio in your ranks, you have to assume that scheduling conflicts may occur. In other words: We were aware that there would be a few concerts where a replacement for Alessandro would have to play the shows. This was clear and discussed from the beginning, and we have adjusted and prepared accordingly. Reichenbach was one of those concerts, as Alessandro is currently on tour with Rock meets Classic. These dates were booked long before Reichenbach. But as said, no problem. Because we had already discussed and prepared everything with an experienced and – at least for us until yesterday – absolutely professional keyboardist. Everything was in place to ensure that the respective concerts could be played without any problems. Since the first concerts in 2025 went fantastically well for us, we were naturally also full of anticipation for the ARF in Reichenbach. Then, out of the blue, we received the news yesterday afternoon that our guest musician would not be playing in Reichenbach or any other concert with us. And that was it – no further explanation. Nothing! Of course, at first we were completely incredulous and shocked, because this was completely unforeseeable. All attempts to reach him again failed. No response, no answer. No information. So we ourselves don’t know what happened. Or what the reason for his cancellation is. We naturally hope very much that nothing worse has happened. However, assumptions won’t get us anywhere. Speculation is out of the question. The fact is: We are now for this ARF showcase, through no fault of our own, without a keyboard player. So, understandably, we can’t play a concert. Until yesterday evening, we discussed all the options for how and whether we could still play the concert. Of course, we also contacted other experienced keyboard players… It was clear to us that the likelihood of finding someone who was available on Saturday, who could work through a 90-minute VP program in one day, then travel there, rehearse with us, and play a good show, was zero. And unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. We ultimately had to accept the situation. Which wasn’t easy for us, as you can imagine. Canceling a concert is always a very bad thing. For everyone. Organizers. Band. Fans. Our technicians, whom we had booked for this concert, etc… Unfortunately, the situation is what it is. We have to cancel! And we don’t feel good about it. We are very sorry for the festival, the organizer, and everyone who wanted to celebrate a great concert with us there. We can only hope that we can make up for it sometime. We would be truly delighted.
Sincerely Vanden Plas
