When did you learn to play bass, and do you have any other hidden talents?
At the age of 16 years I really started to play bass but before I played drums in a band.

What was your first band?
I played drums in a death metal band called ODIOUS. We had one CD and many gigs (with ATROCITY on their BLUT-tour, etc.).

Have you been in any other band?
ODIOUS.

What side projects have you done?
Musical productions, Ian Parry, playing in a lot of bands as a sub.

What do you like to do when you get time away from Vanden Plas?
Hanging around with some friends.

What other bands influenced you?
I really started to listen to heavy music with bands like Overkill, S.O.D, Flotsam and Jetsam, etc.. Now I also listen to some older stuff like Kansas but I don't know if these bands influenced me.

What bands would you like to tour with in the future?
No special band. I want to play more of these big open air shows.

What bands or artists would you like to play with?
With singer Markus Föckler (ex-Odious, System Eyes).

Are there any bands you like to see reunite?
No, because I saw the Watchtower reunion a few weeks ago.

Your favorite tour or show was?
The first show where we played the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" with the whole orchestra at the theatre in Saarbrücken.

Is there some musical album or event that had a lasting impression upon your life?
When I was 10 years old I saw a band playing in my hometown. Loud as hell - and I liked it. I think I don't want to see this band again.
